Peder Bratt
Director
Peder Bratt is an Associate in the private equity firm Warburg Pincus where he focuses on energy investing in Europe. Mr. Bratt holds a BBA from the Norwegian School of Economics and Business Administration, and an MBA from Harvard Business School. Prior to joining Warburg Pincus he worked at McKinsey & Company.
Jean Chevallier
Director
Jean Chevallier is currently Vice President Industry Affairs with Schlumberger based in Paris. Jean has spent his entire 30-year career with Schlumberger, the world’s leading oilfield services firm. During this time he has held a variety of senior management positions around the world including Schlumberger CIO and President of Omnes, the U.S. joint-venture between Schlumberger and Cable & Wireless. Mr. Chevallier graduated MSc in Physics from the University of Montpellier in France and holds an engineering degree in Naval Architecture and Mechanical Engineering from the Ecole Nationale Superieure du Genie Maritime (ENSTA) in Paris.
Bjarte Fagerås

Bjarte Fagerås is Chairman of the board of Octio Geophysical AS, a technology company partly-owned by StatoilHydro and ION Corporation, which specializes in offshore oil and gas reservoir monitoring systems, and CEO of Technocean AS, a subsea services company majority-owned by GC Rieber Shipping ASA. He is also a director of Ascend Geo, a developer of cable-free seismic surveying instrumentation. In 2005 Mr Fagerås was Chief Executive Officer of Exploration Resources, a marine geophysical services company listed on the Oslo Stock Exchange early 2005. Exploration Resources was acquired by CGG in Q3 of 2005. From 2001 to 2004 Mr. Fagerås was Vice President and Chief Technology Officer at I/O Corporation (now ION). Prior to joining I/O, Mr. Fagerås was president of Geophysical Instruments AS, which I/O acquired in 2001. From 1998 to 1999, Mr. Fagerås was Vice President, Research & Development of Aker Geo ASA, a provider of marine geophysical services. Previously, Mr. Fagerås was Technical Manager of PGS Reservoir, a provider of geophysical services. Mr. Fagerås started his career at in research and development at Geco, (now WesternGeco). Mr. Fagerås holds a MSc in Physics and Mathematichs from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) in Trondheim and a post graduate degree in Business Management and Finance.
Jeffrey Harris
Director
Jeffrey A. Harris is a Managing Director of the private equity firm Warburg Pincus. During his career, Mr. Harris has worked extensively in the industrial and technology sectors. Currently he leads the firm’s investment activities in the energy sector, a practice area that he helped create. Mr. Harris worked in Warburg Pincus’ London office from 1991 to 1994 to help develop the firm’s European investment activities. He is a director of Bill Barrett Corporation, Competitive Power Ventures, Deepwater Holdings, ElectroMagnetic GeoServices ASA, Knoll, Kosmos Energy, Laredo Petroleum and Nuance Communications. Mr. Harris served previously on the boards of Spinnaker Exploration, Newfield Exploration and Comcast UK Cable. He is past Chairman of the National Venture Capital Association and currently a member of the board of trustees for the Cranbrook Educational Community. In addition, Mr. Harris is an adjunct professor at the Columbia University Graduate School of Business where he teaches courses on venture capital, innovation and entrepreneurship.
Ross Newman
Director, CEO
Ross Newman is a co-founder of Spectraseis and has served as CEO since the Company’s formation. Mr. Newman graduated BA and BCom in history and economics from the University of Auckland in 1991 and joined Price Waterhouse, where he worked as an accountant and corporate finance adviser covering a wide range of industries in Australasia and Hong Kong. In 1996 he joined Deutsche Morgan Grenfell as an Associate Director of Project and Structured Finance focusing on financing, restructuring and M&A transactions in the energy, power and infrastructure sectors. In 1998 Mr. Newman joined the global markets group of Deutsche Morgan Grenfell in New York, where he was a Director of capital markets. In this role he completed numerous public and private financings, mainly for clients in the North American energy sector. Mr. Newman holds an MBA with distinction from Columbia Business School and London Business School.
Ian Vann
Director
Ian Vann is the former Group Vice President for Exploration and Business Renewal and Chief Technology Officer at BP plc, where he held a range of senior management and technology roles and industry leadership positions over the course of a 31-year career. Since retiring from BP in 2007 Mr. Vann has assumed advisory and directorship roles, including Non-executive Director of Serica Energy PLC, Visiting Fellow at Princeton University, Senior Associate Wood Mackenzie Ltd and Advisor to the Board of Cairn Energy India Pty Ltd. Mr. Vann graduated BSc. in Geology from the University of Glasgow in 1972. He is an active member of a number of professional bodies including the Geological Society of London, AAPG, SEG, EAGE and the Institute of Directors.
Martin Wagen

Director Martin Wagen is a co-founder of Spectraseis. Mr. Wagen graduated BS in business from Zurich University in 1992 and MBA from London Business School and Columbia Business School in 2003. He speaks English, German, French and Spanish.
