Software Engineer
Are you seeking an opportunity to use and further develop your software engineering skills in an environment where you can see the immediate impact of your innovation? As a Software Engineer you will join our Information Systems group and be responsible for developing specialised software applications for the purpose of processing, modelling and managing low frequency seismic data. Required skills include strong knowledge of Java development, debugging and profiling complex multi-module projects, and database related development. You should have experience with advanced development and deployment tools such as Maven and SVN, at least ten years experience developing commercial scientific applications, and have worked in a multi-developer team that employs standard development methodologies. Energy exploration experience is desirable. Furthermore, you should possess strong organizational and communication skills, be fluent in English (written and spoken) and able to work independently and as part of a team.
Applied geophysical researcher
You are a geophysicist who has always stayed abreast of the latest technologies. You are a creative self starter who is well experienced in conducting your own research or contributing specialized skill to a team effort. You have a good track record of technical publications and are able to communicate your creative and value adding ideas to those people for whom your ideas will make a difference. You have an advanced degree and 5-10 years of experience working with a wide range of seismic data. At Spectraseis you’ll work with a highly talented and diverse group of scientists and your name could soon be on some high profile publications and patents.
Data processing specialists
You’re already recognized for your skill in applying advanced signal processing techniques using sophisticated methods and software tools. Now you’d be interested in being a key member of an entrepreneurial technology team based in Switzerland. You’ll work with land and marine datasets from around the world applying innovative processing methods to low frequency passive seismic data. We expect you’ll have three to ten years processing a broad range of seismic data, probably at a major oil services firm. We know that your experience with us will be unique.
