Spectraseis scientist honored by Norwegian Science Academy

Spectraseis senior consulting scientist Professor Yuri Podladchikov has been elected to the Norwegian Academy of Science and Letters as a member of the geophysics group
One of the worlds leading specialists in computational geodynamics, Prof. Podladchikov leads the PGP group at Oslo University's Center of Excellence for the physics of geological processes.
As a member of the Spectraseis advisory board since 2004, Prof. Podladchikov has been actively involved with the company's scientific and technology development strategy and implementation with a focus on advanced numerical modeling. He was instrumental in establishing the company's partnership with ETH Zurich and has co-authored several patent applications in low frequency signal techniques.
Prof. Podladchikov earned his PhD from the department of mechanics and mathematics, Moscow State University in 1991 and has since held research positions at top universities in the U.S. and Europe.
