Spectraseis applies advanced modeling techniques to LF survey data. Time reverse modeling is a recently-developed tool with powerful potential for imaging single or multi-layered hydrocarbon deposits at depth
Research using live and synthetic data has shown that hydrocarbon tremor signals in the subsurface can be localized using finite-difference time reverse modeling.
The technique can be applied to reveal the origin of these signals reliably as the error of localization is negligible relative to the wavelength of the central frequency and relative to the extension of reservoirs.
Modeling results using synthetic data are also promising for the detection of several, stacked reservoirs.
The movie illustrates 3D time reverse modeling applied to localize the origin of signals recorded on an array of sensors located at the surface of a survey area.
