High quality field recordings, reliable data management and consistent quality control are critical to the integrity of LF survey results

Spectraseis developed the world’s first industrial-grade broadband data acquisition system, based on ultra-sensitive three-component receivers.

Our robust field stations are designed and built by us using proven third-party receiver technology and sub-contracted component manufacture.

They are supported by comprehensive data management, quality control and data transmission software in the field office so you can be sure of consistent, high quality and complete datasets.

The need for three-component recordings, flat frequency response down to 0.1 Hz or lower, high sensitivity, low instrument self-noise and reliable calibration rules out most conventional geophone technologies for LF recordings.

Spectraseis is continuously evaluating alternative receiver technologies with the potential to optimize survey efficiency without compromising data quality.
